Josh, has there been any important security updates/fixes in recent versions?

I think I'm still running Core 1.2.3 I think.

I don't think we've had any security issues. The updates have focused on fixing bugs and making the software compatible with PHP5/MySQL5.

Great, thanks. I would've updated, but I've changed a lot of it to suit my site and wouldn't want to go through it all and find out what exactly to replace.

Just get the 1.4.2-1.5 patch, all it does is fix up a few things and doesn't erase anything.

Also make sure you have short open tags enabled.
You can make this setting in your php.ini
