Not entirely sure if I'm going to get much help as the forums seem pretty dead, but I was wondering how you change/add your own news article images.

Cheers.

I'll try to help you in the other area. I just need to find your thread, ok.

I don't have another thread - the other one I did was in the wrong area. I'm using v 1.5

Then I'll help in this one.
I have to figure it out for a bit and then I'll get back to you ok.
Give me a couple of days?

I was wondering how you change/add your own news article images
I've taken a look and found the following.
The news image is taken from the images/news_icons directory of igaming.
So when you look in igaming/images/news_icons/ you see all the images you can choose from.
Unfortunately the image is only shown when you list all the news items.

A news article image should be shown if you edit the article (in admin mode)
Then you can add an image to the article by clicking on the image icon in the wysiwyg editor.
It then asks for the full url of your image, so you can better upload the image before you put it in your news article.

Hope it helps.

That helps a lot thanks - I'm thinking there must be another way to do it, somehow get into the DB to add the image but I'll leave that for now as I at least have a way to add the image, will just have to remember to add the image to the test site before going live. Thanks for the help!

Ok,
Let's try again.
Upload the image for your article to /images
(if you want you can even do it in /images/news or something)
Remember the exact name and location

Then edit the news article
You have to enter the full url of the image, so it will be
http://mysite.com/images/news/article.jpg

Click on OK.
Now the image is inserted in your article.

We'll have to think of a better way for the IGamingCMS 2.0 series.
